Tell us about the company.

What do you think are the responsibilities of an entrepreneur?

I think the basic responsibility of an entrepreneur is to build a strong team with the best talents and align that team with the company vision & goal to deliver the best results in the market; resulting in the overall growth of the company. Since he has the full control over the company, he needs to create the optimal blend of skills, talents, experience and personality he needs to make things work.

Can you please brief us about yourself & your professional experience?

Working as the CEO of Tkxel, I also angel invest in startups globally and help them build software development teams by leveraging onshore/offshore talent. I am an electrical engineer and a computer science guy by education and an engineer turned into a management guy by function. However, at heart, I’m a teacher who loves to groom and mentor people.

How do you look after your employees? What makes your team unique?

It is extremely important for us to know how our employees feel while working with Tkxel. Employees who feel valued and appreciated by their leaders & teams are infinitely more likely to go above and beyond for the company and hold themselves accountable for their part of the job. Being majorly in the business of Salesforce, Tkxel continuously makes efforts for its employees to provide them with opportunities to do Salesforce professional certifications and holds training & seminars on the subject matter because we believe; employees who have the best knowledge and experience, can deliver the best results ensuring customer satisfaction.

Can you tell us which your favourite book is? And your favourite part of the book (if any)?

“Business Adventures” by John Brooks is one of my favourite books. The entire book is quite interesting and full of powerful knowledge.

Whose business story do you find the most inspiring?

I would say Richard Branson. He proves that doing things ethically, being customer-centric and taking big risks can pay off in a business context as his brands are worth billions. He is focused on customer satisfaction and creating remarkable experiences over process and protocol. I love the story he tells in one of his books (The Virgin Way) about an airline employee who personally puts transportation costs and all sorts of other expenses on her card to try and help a VIP. Her manager gets mad at her because she broke the process. Richard steps in, realizes she acted in the best interest of the client, rewards her publicly and gives her a bonus.

Constant vigilance- a need or a strategy? Please share your views.

I would say it is a need as it is not entirely possible for a business to work only based on a strategy. It means looking back as well as forward to assess your past experiences and setting your future goals to make exponential growth in the future.
